With the words "it's stronger than Edichka" I sent it to my friends. Writers are offended by comparisons to others, so I will say this: this is a generational novel. The generation of thirty-somethings, crushed by Russian reality, destroying everything alive and unlike the mainstream. It is a must-read. I spent the entire first war year thinking about setting up a free publishing house. After reading Springfield, I realized that such novels and such authors needed this publishing house.
